Machine and plant manufacturers usually have a large amount of data in various systems. Our customer was also faced with the problem that various uncoordinated data initiatives in the past had already failed to achieve their goals and lacked transparency about existing data solutions and their added value for the company. Furthermore, there was a lack of a clearly defined plan on how to start data value generation using data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Together with the relevant departments, a cross-functional workshop was planned and conducted with managing directors. In upstream interviews, the individual requirements regarding analytics and data were identified, compiled and aligned with the corporate strategy. The result of the workshop was a cross-departmental understanding of the potential of data solutions in the individual business units and motivation for working with data.
